How To Plan Your project:

1. PICK A TOPIC THAT INTERESTS YOU

Do you like space? Animals? Slime? Electricity? Cooking? Cars? Need ideas? Check out our Inspirations and Ideas below

 

2. EXPLORE YOUR TOPIC IN ONE (OR MORE) OF THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

  • ASK A QUESTION & COLLECT information (data) that you measure or observe. For example:

    • What happens when you put an egg in vinegar for a week?

    • What kinds of food do birds like best?

    • Which type of catapult works the best?

    • What type of slime stretches the farthest?

  • MAKE a model or draw a diagram that shows a scientific phenomenon.

  • BUILD an apparatus that demonstrates scientific principles.

  • RESEARCH, illustrate and explain a scientific wonder.

3. SHARE YOUR FINDINGS WITH YOUR FELLOW STUDENTS!

Willard Weekly Submission Guidelines


If you would like to submit an article to the Willard Weekly, please contact the Editor at weekly@willardptg.org.

Guidelines

  • Submissions must be school or community related and not commercial in nature

  • It should be limited to 100 words or fewer, and must be sent as text in an email

  • Please include contact information or website link

  • The deadline for submissions is 6:00 PM on Tuesdays. Submissions received after deadline will go in the following week’s Willard Weekly.

  • Please note that an announcement generally runs for 2 weeks – first week to announce and second week to remind. Please time your submission accordingly.

  • All decisions are at the Editors’ discretion
